Virtual-Based Mental Health Counselling and Support. Neurodivergent and Affirming
What is Mental Health?
As the World Health Organization (2023) write, “mental health is a state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realize their abilities, learn well and work well, and contribute to their community. It is an integral component of health and well-being that underpins our individual and collective abilities to make decisions, build relationships and shape the world we live in.”
In other words, “mental health is more than the absence of mental disorders. It exists on a complex continuum, which is experienced differently from one person to the next, with varying degrees of difficulty and distress and potentially very different social and clinical outcomes” (WHO, 2023).
"Life takes you on a rollercoaster with many challenges. The way you use determination and courage will help you to succeed”
Reaching out for help when you have low mental health, helps to improve your strength and own self-worth.

Who am I?
My name is Coral-Lynn Rubino. I grew up in Eastern Ontario, however, I currently reside in the South Okanogan with my partner, 8 year old Brichon Fritz named Charlie and 1 year old Minitature Pinscher/Chihuahua named Kobe .
I received an Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Care from St. Lawrence College in 2017, a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Youth Care from the University of Victoria in 2020 and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in August 2023.
Throughout the last few years, I gained experience working with youth as young as twelve years old and adults in a virtual platform as well as in person .
After having my own personal experiences with low mental health as a teenager, I knew I wanted to provide support and strength to those who may need reassurance, validation and skills to be able to live a fulfilling life.
I have a very calm and friendly nature. Building a Therapeutic Relationship is one of the most important for change to be able to happen. I focus my practice with a client-centred approach and have sessions structured, so that there is time at the end to be able to become grounded.
Remember that “It’s okay to not be okay”
